The BrainDC Team
We are dedicated to reaching the chiropractic profession on a different level of understanding our patient’s needs.
Michael W. Hall, DC, FIACNBrainDC
Dr. Michael W. Hall is a small town boy who had a knack for excelling in the sciences and a desire to help people have the best health possible. He was naturally drawn to Chiropractic as a healthcare discipline. The combination of biological sciences and restoration of health and well-being were a natural fit. Dr. Hall has spent over three decades focused on providing chiropractic clinical services and teaching functional neurology around the world.
The healthcare industry is struggling to meet the needs and demands of people around the globe. Here in the U.s. especially, there is a growing number of people whose health is being adversely affected by stress, sleep deprivation, malnourishment, and excessive screen time as well as a variety of other non-emergent stressors. Dr. Hall advocates that one difficulty with traditional healthcare is that is does not recognize the needs of the people as individuals but rather as groups. Thusly, most evaluations are standardized to a group and not well applied to the individual. Intake forms and such are generic as to male and female and do not recognize how we are each affected differently. It is my philosophy, richly steeped in the scientific and clinical literature, that there is distinct and unique differences in brain composition and health between males and females. Body mass, vascular tone, volume of gray matter, and neural connectedness to name a few are vastly different between the sexes. From this has risen the need for “functional neurology” – a sub-specialty of health which seeks to evaluate the functioning levels of the nervous system. For example, it is one thing to walk across a room, it is another to walk with an impairment. Impairment of function alters metabolism, tissue responsiveness, body adaptability, and plasticity of the nervous system. Improved function yields improved efficiency of health and habit.
Dr. Hall has taught thousands of chiropractors, chiropractic students, and students of the health sciences from all over the intricacies of neurological health. His lectures, presentations, and talks continue to emphasize the unique differences in our brain function and how that influences the way we think, behave, and act as well as why we continue to suffer chronic illnesses and degenerative disorders considered to be mostly preventable. He demonstrates the effects of the chiropractic adjustment on the responsiveness of the nervous system thru contemporary research and case studies. He has worked tirelessly to bring novel and innovative approaches as well as better understanding to healthcare providers using either low tech procedures or emerging technologies.
From his clinical practice and teachings, his colleagues, students, and patients alike have prodded him to publish, write, and provide a greater availability of his information to others. Thus, in 2017, BrainDC was founded. It continues to provide education lectures to doctors everywhere ultimately aimed at improving the health of people worldwide.
Dr. Michael Longyear
Dr. Longyear is a board-certified Chiropractic Neurologist. There are few who have achieved the level of clinical success with complex cases as he has in such a short time. Having graduated in 2013, he has completed his certification as a Chiropractic Sports Practitioner; his diplomate in chiropractic neurology, and developed a keen sense of innovative technologies in patient management. Dr. Longyear not only enjoys the clinical arena but also has a passion for post-doctoral education and research. He co-teaches the Functional Neurology Series with Dr. Hall and has received outstanding reviews from his peers. He has been the lead clinical at the NeuroLife Institute at Life University since 2014.
Dr. Jonathan Vestal
Dr. Vestal brings tough love and grit to BrainDC. There are who are more fondly known by their passion and love for people. He hails from Yukon, Oklahoma and attended Oklahoma State University in preparation for his chiropractic training. While there, he competed as a Division I wrestler for highly-rated OSU Cowboys. The OSU wrestling program has garnered more national championships than any other program in NCAA history. After OSU, Dr. Vestal attended Parker University where he graduated with double bachelor degrees in science (Anatomy, Health & Wellness) and a doctorate in Chiropractic. While at Parker, he was very active in student government and leadership. It was during this time that he took on a love and passion in clinical neurology. Dr. Vestal has spent three years serving as a functional neurologist at the NeuroLife Institute. He is certified in Interactive Metronome which is used to address disorders of timing, coordination, and spectrum disorders in children as well as a variety of disorders in PTSD, concussive injuries, and mTBI. He is certified in ATM (Active Therapeutic Motion) which is a specialized neuromuscular retraining approach to those with functional impairments, musculoskeletal complains, and sports injuries. His energy, attention to detail and love for people makes him an integral part of the BrainDC team.
Amanda is a proud Texan, thru and thru. Born in the beautiful piney woods of East Texas, she was raised to love God, people, animals, and all things outdoors. She began her career entering into the banking industry where she handled customer relations for the next 10 years. She left the banking world after the birth of her first child to fulfill her dream of being a stay-at-home mom. From there, she went on to become the Women’s Ministry Director at The Met Church where she found herself immersed in helping to procure speakers and coordinate events that would inspire and empower women, couples, and families. In 2016, she began collaborating with Dr. Hall to disseminate health educational materials, seminars, and products to chiropractors in the United States and around the world thereby enhancing the importance of optimizing the health and well-being of the human nervous system thru an abundant and vitalistic lifestyle. Her entrepreneurial spirit quickly blossomed, and she has gone on to promote and coordinate seminars in the U.S., Canada, Australia, Spain, Portugal, England and Germany. She also handles the day to day operations of BrainDC with Dr. Hall in providing access to the highest quality chiropractic care and functional neurologic applications to patients from around the world. Some of her greatest joys have come from seeing first-hand the life changing results that come with quality chiropractic care.
